Schools will also be closed for two weeks. The nightly restrictions were already in place and bars and restaurants have been closed since the beginning of this month.
The measures will take effect on Sunday and will be reviewed in a month. Each family will be allowed one visit per week, while those living alone will be allowed to see only one person.

The number of daily hospitalizations in Belgium doubles every eight days. The country is at risk of running out of available intensive care beds until the end of next week, after the number of Covid-19 patients treated in intensive care units rose from 525 on October 21 to 1,057 yesterday.
