Young people will not come, because they come less and less to vote anyway because they do not find their expectations and hopes in the messages of the candidates, and the elderly will not come for fear of COVID. This combination will create a large absenteeism. I don’t think I’ve ever had something like that.

Dumitru Borțun:

The university professor assures that in the municipal elections, the Bucharest candidates can be divided into two blocks of thought: some who want to continue things as they are and others who want to change the city because they saw what the great cities of the world are like and understand the importance. an integrated transportation system.

Dumitru Borțun made an analysis of the main candidates for mayor of the capital and categorized the entry of Traian Băsescu into the race as “until he separates the two blocks and deviates from a natural, predictable and normal confrontation between those who want change and those who want change. that or resping ”.

Traian Băsescu’s entry into the race for the capital city council puts Nicușor Dan at a disadvantage.

The political battle, says Borțun, is between the current generation of politicians, with general, abstract slogans, who say nothing, “because they have nothing to propose,” and young candidates, who propose other goals, objectives and methods.

The old candidates forget that those who come later want something else, they want “a country like abroad”, although it is difficult to define what that means. Or the current candidates, sadly, have nothing to propose to these people.
