When we hear that someone is being prosecuted for being convicted, we are thinking of fierce individuals. But Elena Mladin is an 82-year-old person, the oldest persecuted person.
Elena Mladin is from Caraş-Severin and 5 years ago she was sentenced to two years in prison for drug trafficking.
Sources say the woman brought drugs to the penitentiary for a nephew.
To what extent do the police rely on the support of citizens when publishing information about a wanted person? If we look at the photos, there are many blurry or black and white.
“Normally they are very relevant, because they show the figure of the man being chased by the police. Of course, in the case of the convicted, there are very recent photos, because if they were convicted and evaded criminal prosecution, they were certainly photographed by the police. And then the photos are very current. (…) They are not just some photos here. It’s also about operational data, information about that person. It’s not just the relevant photos. And in this period, the 21st century, we have DNA at our disposal ”, explains Valeriu Şuhan, a former judicial policeman.
