Nora de Angelli spoke, on DC News, about something that few of those who go on vacations or weekends to the Prahova Valley, in Bucegi, know.
Nora de Angelli presented a work on which she worked with her father, an atlas on orchids in Romania.
“After a few years of photographing the plants in Bucegi, I know I was in Holland and she said to me: Nora, what do you think I found? I started to find the first orchids in Bucegi. And he was very surprised, he was happy. A few more years passed, he continued, he found about 45 species of wild orchids in Bucegi and finally, around the years 2012-2014, he told me ‘you know that I have gathered enough and I would like to write a book’. In 2016-2017 I went back to Romania, I saw what I had gathered, I saw what I had written, I found it impressive, the photos were beautiful, and I said let me make you a proposal, I think it would be good to make a book about orchids all over the country.
They grow spontaneously throughout Europe; all European countries have different species of orchids, “Nora de Angelli told DC News.
