Almost 10,000 new cases of coronavirus. ATI is approaching full capacity

Increasingly worrying figures on the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic in Romania. Only in the last 24 hours 9,714 infections were detected, more than a thousand more than the previous day, from 37,685 tests. Another 121 people died during this period, and in ATI the situation is dire: there are 1,014 patients, a new record number.

To date, on November 5, in Romania, 276,802 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 191,085 patients were declared cured.

Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 9,714 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Here is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after reassessment of patients who were already positive, 2,039 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 7,540 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 04.11.2020 (10:00) – 05.11.2020 (10:00) 121 deaths were reported (68 men and 53 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Harghita, Ialomița, Iași, Mehedinți, Mureâă, Staliuvah, Neamișorcea, Neamișa, Staliucea, Neamișorceah , Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 5 deaths were recorded in the age category 40 to 49 years, 12 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 37 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 38 deaths in the age category of age 70 to 79 years. years and 29 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

112 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and out of 8 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,061. Of these, 1,014 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,379,609 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 37,685 were performed in the last 24 hours, 21,622 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 16,063 upon request.

Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 57 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until November 5 have been reported. The quarantined and isolated figures will be transmitted later as they are being updated.

In the last 24 hours, 3,330 calls have been registered to the single emergency number 112 and 974 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmerie applied, in the last 24 hours, 8,177 sanctions for minor infractions, worth 1,065,695 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, 7 crimes were found yesterday to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

Coronavirus: the situation of Romanians abroad

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,853 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 159 in the Kingdom United, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar , Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
