Alexandru Socol, one of the members of the organization “Corruption kills” and one of the most active protesters in Victoriei Square since 2017, has died. The young man was 33 years old and, according to the first information, it seems that lately he has gone through a terrible depression.

His friends are in shock.

“Goodbye and good way Socol. The last memory I record when I spoke is when you entered the live I was doing on Facebook. I was doing tests for the studio and at one point you also entered the zoom link. When I checked Facebook live after see that you couldn’t hear what those who had zoomed in. And after you wrote me this message.

We listen to each other on the phone afterward, but those memories will become increasingly vague as time goes on.

The protest on January 20, 2018 would not have turned out as it did without his enthusiasm and dynamic flour with Angi. Like many other protests from that period.
And other civic projects we work on together.

You kept telling me to come to Bucharest to organize more protests, although I liked to stay in Cluj and do the work remotely. You were right.

We were going to see each other after the pandemic passed … Now we will only see each other in our memories … ”Florin Badita, founder of the civic group Corruption Kills, wrote on Facebook.

Marian Raduna, a member of the #Rezistenta group, published on her social media page several photos of the meetings in which Alexandru Socol also participates.

Andi Carlan, another member of the #Resistance organization, wrote on her Facebook page: “You always said you were a man and stuff, but you were so much more, dear Alex, and you will miss us! You were always discreet and “Help. All the time taking care of others and very little of you. I’m leaving without problems and thanks for everything you taught me, good man.”

Another friend of Alexandru Socol, Corruption Kills member Angi Serban, posted more photos on her Facebook page.

“What am I doing now Alexe?”
