A legal provision on the Pensions Law will produce important changes that will apply to all pensioners in Romania. The National House of Public Pensions announces the disappearance of a certificate.
The certificate will no longer be necessary for the files presented for the retroactive payment of contributions or for the age limit. The official announcement was published on the website of the National House of Public Pensions. The change is expected to take effect soon.
Statement from the National House of Public Pensions
For the attention of people who have entered into social security contracts based on GEO no. 163/2020 with the retroactive payment of social security contributions and who wish to submit an old-age retirement file.
At this moment we are in the process of applying the provisions of this normative act, so that the people who have entered into such contracts can benefit from the recognition of insurance periods for the opening of old-age pension rights, below, upon presentation of application file. retirement, to receive the retirement decision within a maximum period of 45 days.
Taking into account that the information on the contribution period made based on said insurance contract will be automatically taken from the computer module dedicated to this activity, it is not necessary to issue a certificate that accredits the insured period, the computer application for the execution of this normative act. It will be operational in a short time and our beneficiaries will receive the pension rights they deserve ”, is shown in the statement published on the institution’s website.
The Pensions Law has been modified
The Chamber of Deputies voted on a bill whereby the inhabitants of certain polluted areas in Romania benefit from other retirement rules.
Thus, by decision of the Chamber of Deputies, people who live in the areas listed in the annexes of the law, may retire two years faster. The list included 27 towns in different counties in Romania, where in the past there were plants or mines that produced the most pollution.
What locations are on the list
The localities for which the reduction of the standard retirement age by two years applies are Baia Mare, Călăraşi, Copşa Mică, Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Slatina, Târgu Mureş, Târnăveni, Turnu Măgurele and Aninoasa. Also includes Baia de Criş, Băiţa, Brad, Călan, Certej, Criscior, Deva, Ghelari, Hunedoara, Lupeni, Orăştie, Petrila, Petroşani, Şoimuş, Teliuc, Uricani, Veţel, Vulcan from Hunedoara County.
Other localities included in the list are Abrud, Baia de Arieş, Lupşa, Roşia Montană and Zlatna of Alba County. But also Slobozia from the county of Ialomiţa, Iacobeni and Vatra Dornei from the county of Suceava, Margina, Nădrag and Tomeşti from the county of Timiş; Berbeşti and Râmnicu-Vâlcea of the county of Vâlcea.
