Alarming increase in the number of patients in ATI. More than 4,300 COVID cases

4,383 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported by GCS in the last 24 hours, of the 20,535 tests carried out, PCR and rapid. During the same period, 44 Romanians died after being infected with coronavirus. There are 1,232 hospitalized patients in ATI.

To date, on March 14, in Romania, 859,709 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 783,642 patients were declared cured.

Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 4,383 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Below is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 926 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 21,483 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 13.03.2021 (10:00) – 14.03.2021 (10:00) 44 deaths were reported (28 men and 16 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița- Năsăud, Bihor, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dolj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 50 to 59 years, 15 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 20 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years, and 6 deaths in the age category of more than 80 years.

41 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, and for 3 patients who died so far, no comorbidities have been reported.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 10,829. Of these, 1,232 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 6,328,098 RT-PCR tests and 434,247 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 15,192 RT-PCR tests were performed (8,599 according to case definition and medical protocol and 6,593 on request) and 5,343 rapid antigen tests.

Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 50 RT-PCR tests have been reported, processed before the last 24 hours and transmitted until March 14 of this year.

In Romania, 52,307 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 14,304 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 52,688 people are in home quarantine and 115 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 2,926 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on March 13, 6,003 penalties for minor offenses, amounting to 1,231,495 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 2 criminal proceedings were raised to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 23,487 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,541 in Italy, 16,773 in Spain, 195 in the United Kingdom, 125 in France, 3,118 in Germany, 93 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 8 in Sweden, 137 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 46 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 7 in Bulgaria, 12 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 13 in Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland, 2 in Singapore, 3 in Tunisia, 7 in the Republic of Korea, 2 in Bosnia and Herzegovina and one in Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, the Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan , Iran, Slovenia, the Russian Federation and Croatia.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 186 Romanian citizens abroad, 34 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 60 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 4 have died in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, 1 in the United States, 1 in Brazil, 1 in the Republic of the Congo, 1 in Greece and 1 in Iran.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.
