Former Prime Minister Adrian Năstase sued President Klaus Iohannis and Ludovic Orban after he was left without the National Order “Steaua României”. The case was registered at the Bucharest Court of Appeals and does not yet have a trial period.
Last year, President Klaus Iohannis withdrew all decorations from all those with criminal convictions, including former Adrian Nastase. Adrian Năstase was awarded the National Order “Star of Romania” in the rank of Grand Cross in 2002.
Adrian Năstase was sentenced in 2014 to 4 and a half years in the Zambaccian and Quality Trophy cases. He spent seven months in prison.
