Adobe Flash Player, the well-known plug-in program used for animations and better interactivity on web pages, officially stopped working as of December 31, 2020. reports BBC.
Released in 1996, Flash was one of the most popular plugins used to play videos or games online. In 2009, Flash was installed on 99% of the world’s computers connected to the Internet.
In recent years, Flash has become less and less used due to serious security concerns and the transition to smartphones.
Adobe has announced that it will no longer provide new security updates and recommended that you remove the Flash plug-in from your computer.
Adobe decided to discontinue support for Flash in 2017, when it officially announced the “death” of this plug-in on December 31, 2020.
Also, as of January 12, it will no longer be possible to play videos and animations in Flash Player.
