Dear Olteanu Matei, 87 years old, arrived at “St. Spiridon ”from Iaşi, transferred from Piatra Neamţ County Hospital, due to upper gastrointestinal bleeding.

The actress graduated from the Institute of Theater and Cinematography “IL Caragiale” in 1956 and in September of the same year she made her debut in Alexandru Mirodan’s play “Periodistas”.

Throughout his career he acted in several plays: “Coana Chiriţa” after Alecsandri, for which he also wrote a film script in two series (Coana Chiriţa – 1986 and Chiriţa in Iaşi 1987), “Gaiţele” by Kiritescu ( 1977), “The Straw Wagon” by Mircea Ştefanescu, “Hagi Tudose” by Barbu Ştefănescu Delavrancea, “Miss Nastasia” by GM Zamfirescu, “The Cat on New Year’s Eve” by DR Popescu, “The author is in the hall “by Ion Baiesu, etc.

On the stage of the National Theater, he also starred in Maxim Gorky’s “Night Asylum” in “Crime for the Earth,” a dramatization after Dinu Săraru’s novel of the same name.

On television he teamed up with the late Amza Pellea as Veta, Nea Marin’s wife, on numerous television shows and in the feature film “Billionaire Nea Marin.”

After retiring from the National Theater (2007), he retired to Piatra Neamţ, where he founded the theater company Teatrul Vostru.
