Actor Thomas Lister Jr. was found dead in his home after showing symptoms of COVID-19, reports CNN, which quotes his manager.

The 62-year-old actor started feeling unwell a week ago and his symptoms “got worse very quickly,” Cindy Cowan said. He couldn’t breathe and felt very weak, he added. “It all happened really fast,” Cowan said.

Thomas Lister Jr., called “The Little One” because of his impressive size (1.96 meters tall and 140 kg), was known for his roles in the film series “Friday,” where he starred alongside the Ice Cube. He also starred in “The Fifth Element” alongside Bruce Willis, “Jackie Brown” and “Little Nicky.” He had episodic appearances on the series “The Prince of Bel-Air” and “The Renegade.” In addition to his roles in movies and series, he also wrestled in the WWF Championship between 1989 and 1996 and appeared in videos of singers Akon, Micheal Jackson and 50 Cent.

The actor had postponed all his plans last week because he was not feeling well. Family members tried to reach him on Wednesday night, but did not answer the phone. A friend of his called the police the next day because no one was opening the door. When officers entered the home, Thomas Lister Jr. was found dead.

“The death of Thomas Lister Jr. appears to have been caused by natural causes, but the coroner will determine the exact cause of death,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said. The investigation into the death of Thomas Lister Jr. is still ongoing.
