Absolute registry of coronavirus infections. Almost 6,500 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours there have been 6,481 new cases of coronavirus, with more than 1,000 more infections than a day ago. It’s the largest overnight increase and a new all-time high for coronavirus infections. Another 83 Romanians died after being infected with the Sars-Cov-2 virus. There are 868 COVID patients in ATI.

To date, on October 29, in Romania, 229,040 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

163,852 patients were declared cured.

After tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 6,481 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The rate of coronavirus infections is increasing in several counties. Sălaj exceeds the rate of 4 cases per thousand inhabitants.

Aside from the newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 625 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 6,764 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 28.10.2020 (10:00) – 29.10.2020 (10:00) 83 deaths (52 men and 31 women) were reported, of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Galați, Giurgiu, Harghita, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Ivalf, Sibiu.

Of these, 5 deaths were recorded in the age group 40 to 49 years, 6 deaths in the age group 50 to 59, 18 deaths in the age group 60 to 69, 28 deaths in the age group of 70 to 79 and 26 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

81 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for 1 deceased patient, no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 10,975. Of these, 868 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,169,978 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 36,169 were performed in the last 24 hours, 22,182 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol, and 13,987 upon request.

In Romania, 27,834 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 10,602 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 52,185 people are in home quarantine and 51 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 3,025 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 953 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 7,184 sanctions for minor offenses, worth 1,047,290 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 10 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,851 Romanian citizens were infected by COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,017 in Germany, 159 in the United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus , 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, the Republic of the Congo, Qatar , the Vatican and Portugal.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
