A very harsh winter is coming

The capital’s mayor-elect, Nicusor Dan, says the only thing he can do is make sure damage interventions are carried out quickly.

In his opinion, the spring could replace the old pipes of the district heating system.

“We must access this European money for district heating, which is available for Bucharest, for the rehabilitation of the infrastructure, for the change with modern technologies of the pipes in the main ring and to start changing them this spring. We have money until 2020. (…) They are 40-50 year old pipes. The new pipeline, of the 1000 kilometers that we have to change, has changed one kilometer in these 4 years of mandate ”, Nicusor Dan also said.
