The National Meteorological Administration issued a new yellow snow code on Monday afternoon, valid in five counties in southeastern Romania. The new notice will be in effect until 11:00 p.m., the yellow code zone issued on Sunday being restricted. Meteorologists also announced what the weather will be like in the capital on National Day.
The yellow code came into effect on Monday at 15:00 and is valid until 23:00 in Brăila, Ialomița and Călărași counties, and partially in Tulcea and Constanța counties.
During the mentioned interval, in the east and southeast of Muntenia, as well as in most of Dobrogea, snow will predominate and a layer of snow will be deposited.
Rainfall will exceed 15 l / m2 in restricted areas.
Towards the afternoon, the snow area will be limited to Dobrogea, where the wind will temporarily have some intensification, with speeds generally 40… 45 km / h, in some places with snow.
Meteorologists mention that, in small areas, there will be light snow in southern Moldova and the rest of Muntenia. On the coast the precipitation will be mixed.
The NMA also issued a weather report, which takes effect after the yellow code expires and is valid until noon the next day, for the Dobrogea area. During the mentioned interval, snow will predominate and a new layer of snow will be deposited. Locally, the wind will intensify, with gust speeds generally between 45 and 50 km / h, sometimes blowing snow.
The NMA highlights that the weather will remain particularly cold in the first part of the week, especially during the nights and mornings, when negative temperatures will prevail, and depending on the evolution and intensity of the meteorological phenomena, the weather alerts will be updated.
Special weather forecast in Bucharest, from December 1
At the same time, the NMA issued a special weather forecast for the capital. Thus, until Tuesday at 12:00, the weather will be closed and cold. The snow will pass slightly and it is possible to deposit 1-2 centimeters of snow. The wind will generally be light. Today, the temperature will be around 1 degree, then it will start to drop to -2 degrees.
On National Day, in Bucharest, the weather will be cold. The sky will be temporarily cloudy and the wind will generally be light. The air temperature will drop from -2 …- 1 degree at the beginning of the range to -3 …- 4 degrees in the morning, then it will rise slightly, so this afternoon it will be around 0 degrees.
