Romania today registers a new record for new coronavirus cases: 2,343 cases were detected in the last 24 hours, out of 26,011 tests. It is the third day in a row with more than 2,000 daily cases of COVID-19. 53 people died on the last day. In intensive care, 571 patients are hospitalized in serious condition. Another 1,588 people recovered from the previous toll.
To date, on October 2, in Romania, 132,001 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 105,582 patients were declared cured.
As a result of the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 2,343 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
To date, 4,915 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 01.10.2020 (10:00) – 02.10.2020 (10:00) were registered 53 deaths (36 men and 17 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brăila, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Gorj, Harghita, Iași, Maramureș , Mehedinți, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age group 20 to 29 years, 1 in the age category 30 to 39 years, 10 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 15 deaths in the age category from 60 to 69 years old. years, 11 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 15 deaths in the category of more than 80 years.
51 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for 1 deceased patient, no comorbidities have been reported to date.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 7,795. Of these, 571 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 2,471,499 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these 26,011 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 15,436 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 10,575 upon request.
In Romanian territory, 10,697 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 7,452 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 23,138 people are in home quarantine and 28 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 1,379 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 839 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 1,144 sanctions for minor offenses, in the amount of 207,820 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 2 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
