Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 653 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 5,299 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died

Between 08.10.2020 (10:00) and 09.10.2020 (10:00) it was reported 52 deaths (24 men and 28 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeş, Bacău, Botoşani, Brăila, Braşov, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Dâmboviţa, Dolj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iaşi, Mureş, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu , Suceava, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest. Of these, 4 deaths were recorded in the age category 40 to 49 years, 5 deaths in the category 50 to 59 years, 16 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 13 deaths in the age category of 70 to 79 years and 14 deaths in the category of over 80 years. 51 of the deaths recorded were from patients who had comorbidities and one deceased patient had no comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 8,772. Of these, 613 are hospitalized in ATI.

In Romania, 12,935 people who were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home and 8,418 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 27,009 people are quarantined at home, and there are 9 people in institutionalized quarantine.

• Between 07.10.2020 (10:00) – 08.10.2020 (10:00) 44 deaths (28 men and 16 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeş, Bacău, Bihor, Caraş-Severin, Cluj, Constanţa, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Dolj, Gorj, Iaşi, Maramureş, Olt, Prahova, Teleorman, Timiş, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.
• Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age group 40 to 49 years, 2 deaths in the age group 50 to 59 years, 10 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 19 deaths in the age category age 70 to 79 years and 12 deaths in the category of over 80 years.
• All deaths were in patients with comorbidities.

• In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 8,491. Of these, 607 are hospitalized in ATI.
