In the last 24 hours, 4,013 new cases of COVID-19 were registered, of the 29,646 tests carried out. Another 73 Romanians died due to coronavirus infections, and a new record number of patients was recorded in ATI – 721.
To date, on October 15, in Romania, 168,490 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.
125,009 patients were declared cured.
Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 4,013 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 691 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 5,674 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 14.10.2020 (10:00) – 15.10.2020 (10:00) 73 deaths were reported (46 men and 27 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Gorj, Harghita, Ialomița, Iași, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălajá, Tulcea, Timrestiș, Suva Bucarestiș.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 20 to 29 years, 1 death in the age category 30 to 39 years, 2 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 2 deaths in the age category of age 50 to 59 years, 22 deaths in the age group 60 to 69 years, 24 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 21 deaths in the age group over 80 years.
All deaths were in patients with comorbidities.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 9,611. Of these, 721 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 2,770,481 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 29,646 were performed in the last 24 hours, 17,575 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 12,081 upon request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 211 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until October 15 have been reported.
In Romania, 17,190 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 8,986 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 40,136 people are in home quarantine and 43 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 2,313 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1,197 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 6,020 sanctions for minor infractions, worth 1,017,822 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 6 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.
The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,812 Romanian citizens were infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,917 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,999 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain. , 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 122 in Austria, 21 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo and Qatar .
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
