During the investigation, the investigators found that, initially, a nephew of the elderly man was transferred to those policies, but after only two days he changed his mind and changed his name to that of the caregiver.
But investigators found no evidence to support the family’s allegations, so the case was closed earlier this year. But the old man’s nephew passed away this month, and now it is his wife who filed a new lawsuit against the woman who inherited the million euros.
The lawyers also demanded compensation from the institution that concluded the policies, accusing it of not controlling the mental health of the elderly at the time of issuing the documents.
