A mason from Tijuana, Mexico, dug a tunnel, not to escape, but to enter a house for his mistress to visit.
The bricklayer, identified only by his first name Alberto, worked for several weeks in the tunnel between his house and that of his lover, Pamela, in the Villas del Prado neighborhood, according to the Mexican press.
Alberto put all his building knowledge to use and dug, then built the tunnel so that she could see her lover without her husband’s knowledge.
The man was inspired by “El Chapo” Guzmán, who escaped from prison through tunnels dug underground.
The project was completed and the two lovers saw each other every time the woman was home alone, but they were surprised one day when her husband returned from work earlier.
Alberto tried to hide under the bed and when her husband started looking for him, the man disappeared. The husband later discovered the tunnel that led to the bricklayer’s house.“Says the local press.
