Alexandru Brumă was a puppet artist at the Vasilache Puppet Theater in Botoşani from 1959-1998, but also an honorary member of the Vasilache Theater since 2002.

„Pious tribute and eternal gratitude to former Alexandru Bruma, emblematic actor of our theater, Member of Honor, an example of professionalism for generations of actors.

May God rest him in peace! We send our condolences to the grieving family! ”Was the message sent by his colleagues from the Vasilache Botoșani Theater for Children and Youth.

The actor was an appreciated presence by the people of Botosani, as evidenced by comments posted on the theater’s Facebook page by those who knew him.

“I cannot believe this sad information because Bică will always remain in my memory and that of thousands of former children only as an actor gifted with the restless talent and the joy of embodying so many credible characters.

Good luck to heaven and may the Lord be with your soul! ”Said a lady marked by the black ad.

“God forgive him! Rest in peace, Uncle Bică!” Was the reaction of another person who thanked the actor’s activity.

„THE VASILACHE THEATER FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH in Botoşani was established on May 1, 1953 by order of the Art Committee attached to the Council of Ministers, the first director being the late Max Weber.

At first it was called, in the note of the time, the PUPPET THEATER “CRAVATA ROŞIE”, but starting in 1973, the THEATER took the name of a well-known Romanian doll, “VASILACHE”.

The first premiere took place on June 25, 1953, with the show “La Oca”, directed by Florica Teodoru and scenography by Tache Dobrescu.

In the 67 years of activity, the repertoire has included original works, but also many adaptations of Romanian or foreign fairy tales and literary works.

Thus, there are works by Creanga, Eminescu, Sadoveanu, Cezar Petrescu, Victor Eftimiu, Gellu Naum, then Swift, Pushkin, Kipling, Oscar Wilde, even Shakespeare, Homer, Aristophanes, without missing the brothers Grimm, Andersen, Charles Perrault and many others. .

Renowned directors and set designers in the field of puppetry in Romania contributed to the performances of the Botosani theater.

The impressive number of shows and spectators, the tours of the country and ten European countries, the prizes won at festivals organized by high profile theaters, Romanian or foreign, testify to the quality of the puppet performances at the Vasilache Theater ”, the description available at teatrulvasilache.ro shows.
