A driver was surprised to find that he had been fined 1305 lei for throwing the stick at the car window. “Are you serious?” He asked the cop. The dialogue between the police and the driver was posted on the Interior Ministry’s Facebook page.
“- Good evening! Show me your documents.
– Good night! I have been parked in this place for 15 minutes, I have not violated any traffic rules. Why do you want the documents?
– Because you’re missing something from the car.
– The car is manufactured in 2019, Mrs. Police. It has all the facilities. What is missing?
– Missing in the car, not in the car.
“And what is the difference?”
– The difference is the cigarette butt you threw on the ground. Usually it had to be in the car’s ashtray, not on the asphalt.
– Well, it doesn’t have an ashtray.
– You see, it doesn’t have all the facilities. You could also include the ashtray if you knew you were smoking in the car. It costs you 1305 lei.
“Is that an ashtray?”
– No sir. That’s the good thing. According to the law, it is prohibited to throw objects, materials or substances onto public roads from vehicles. The penalty is between 9 and 20 points.
“Seriously?”
– Looking at the cigarette on the floor, I tell them that I am very serious ”, is the report published by the Ministry of the Interior.
