According to the MFA, Romania’s contribution was transferred to the European Endowment for Democracy (EED), a European institution specialized in providing assistance for projects to strengthen democracy and human rights in the vicinity of the European Union.

Romania thus joins the other partners, Member States and EU institutions, which develop projects in partnership with EED, for the direct benefit of Belarusian civil society.

The budget for development assistance and humanitarian assistance for 2020 is managed by the MFA and the Agency for International Development Cooperation (RoAid).
