The largest hospital in the west of the country, the Pius Brânzeu County Emergency Hospital, should become a regional hospital. It is not just an idea, but even a proposal made, in writing, by NLP designated manager Raul Pătrașcu. Pătrașcu arrived at PNL Timiș from the party of Dacian Cioloș and was anointed director of the hospital, although he is not a doctor, but a researcher. Now, he is requesting the transformation of the medical unit into a regional hospital, through an address with the Timiș County Council, the medical unit’s computer.

Timiș’s Liberals manage to beat record after record in the implementation of dubious initiatives. That’s clear. However, there is one related to the “Pius Brânzeu” County Clinical Emergency Hospital in Timișoara, which, although apparently only a formal change of state, hides a very serious and unfortunate move, which will leave us without a regional hospital.
That they are good at slot machines and maneuvers, this is not a novelty, but in this matter, they simply challenge. In February 2019, PNL Timiș announced that it will start a campaign to collect signatures for regional hospitals, including Timișoara, to show that health and hospital construction are clear priorities for PNL.
A year and a few months later, the manager of the largest hospital in the west of the country, the young liberal NLP-backed Raúl Pătrașcu, plans to transform the unit he runs into a regional hospital. This move, designed to the detriment of patients, will undoubtedly end investment in a new regional hospital, as Timi desoara deserves.
Well, we either want a new and modern regional hospital, or we no longer want it, gentlemen of PNL. It would be better to clarify your intentions and not mess with people’s health. A new regional hospital, by European standards, would be a fantastic win for the city, the county and the region.
