Apple is developing a new FaceID function to work with skins

In the new version of iOS, Face ID will recognize when someone wears a mask, and the iPhone will display the password entry screen after scrolling from the bottom of the screen, constantly searching for your face. The Face ID tool will not unlock your iPhone unless you remove its skin, but it will significantly speed up the transition to the secret code unlock option.

It is unknown when the solution will be implemented, but it could take a few weeks if other iOS updates are a clue. Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The upcoming iOS update is also loaded with new software that app developers can use to help iPhone users know when they are in contact with someone who has Covid-19. It is a joint project with Google that will help track the spread of the virus using Bluetooth technology.
The companies will launch interfaces for the first time in May based on existing public health applications that can run on iOS or Android systems, followed by a more comprehensive platform in the coming months, from which users can choose. However, millions of people need to get used to it.
