Raed Arafat told Digi24 that additional restrictions would be approved this week, including an extended nightly quarantine, which he said could be a measure that could reduce the contact and mobility that lead to the spread of the Sars-Cov virus. The head of DSU also specified that the authorities were not in favor of tough measures, but “we cannot wait to see how hospitals fill up.”
“It was found that lately orders are no longer followed, the world has relaxed. All the rules that are in force must be followed, we are not talking about new, but adapted. Just the shopping part. Stores must respect distance rules. We can expect certain regulations that will intensify controls on the mechanisms already approved. (…) There are discos where you sit at the table and you understand that the bill exceeds 10,000 And if you earn 10,000 lei in a meal, what do you care if the policeman comes and gives you a fine of 5,000 lei for that night? That he is not allowed to give you more fines. And then these areas that violate the rules have to take a stricter measure with them because, in the end, we must not protect those who want to break the law and break the law, we must protect those who do not want to break the law and want to get around the activities under the conditions provided for by the orders of the ministers and by the legal provisions in force ”, declared Arafat.

When asked if he agreed to impose additional measures and possibly an extended night quarantine, Raed Arafat said that such measures had been successful in other countries.

We see countries with these nightly quarantines, which begin at 6:00 p.m. in France, at 9:00 p.m. in other countries, and in our country at 22:00. The DSU chief says new measures will be approved this week.
“This does not mean tomorrow, but during this week we are going to raise certain aspects that will probably apply during the weekend,” Arafat concludes.
