2,972 GCS has reported new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, out of 12,217 tests performed, PCR and rapid. In the same interval, 82 of Romanians died after being infected with coronavirus. I am in ATI 1,225 of hospitalized patients.

To date, on March 15, in Romania, 862,681 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 787,392 patients were declared cured.

Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 2,972 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Below is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after reassessment of the patients who were already positive, 438 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 21,565 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 14.03.2021 (10:00) – 15.03.2021 (10:00) 82 deaths were reported (43 men and 39 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița -Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Călărași, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Giurgiu, Gorj, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Olt, Prahova, Sămanți, Buchauvor Televa, Sămanți.

Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age group 40 to 49 years, 9 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 25 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 27 deaths in the age category of age 70 to 79 years and 19 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

80 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities and 2 deceased patients did not present comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 11,238. Of these, 1,225 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 6,335,187 RT-PCR tests and 439,375 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 7,089 RT-PCR tests were performed (5,474 based on case definition and medical protocol and 1,615 on request) and 5,128 rapid antigen tests.

In Romanian territory, 54,507 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 14,588 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 52,305 people are in home quarantine and 88 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 3,275 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on March 14, 6,819 penalties for minor offenses, amounting to 1,508,720 lei. Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 2 criminal proceedings were raised to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 23,487 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,541 in Italy, 16,773 in Spain, 195 in the United Kingdom, 125 in France, 3,118 in Germany, 93 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 8 in Sweden, 137 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 46 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 7 in Bulgaria, 12 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 13 in Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland, 2 in Singapore, 3 in Tunisia, 7 in the Republic of Korea, 2 in Bosnia and Herzegovina and one in Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, the Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan , Iran, Slovenia, the Russian Federation and Croatia.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 186 Romanian citizens abroad, 34 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 60 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 4 have died in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, 1 in the United States, 1 in Brazil, 1 in the Republic of the Congo, 1 in Greece and 1 in Iran.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.
