Erol Bulut, the current Fener coach, has his days at the club numbered and his fate depends, the Turks write, on the next match of the championship, with Trabzonspor. If he loses, there is little chance that the Turkish manager will continue at Fenerbahce.
Răzvan Lucescu is on the Fenerbahce list
One of the names put forward by the Turks is Răzvan Lucescu, writes fotomac.com.tr. The Romanian coach, a former Asian Champions League winner with his former team, Al-Hilal, was also on the “candidate list” in the summer, but refused, preferring to stay in Saudi Arabia.
If the two parties reach an agreement this time, the cited source writes that Lucescu will ask his new bosses to transfer Omar El Kaddouri from PAOK, one of his former students, with whom he managed to win a title and two Cups in Greece.
- Recently, the international press wrote that Christoph Daum, the former coach of Romania, is also to the attention of management to Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce lost twice in the last three stages in Turkey and reached third place with 51 points, six points behind leader Galatasaray. Trabzonspor, Mesut Ozil’s next league rival, is in fourth place with 48 points.
Fenerbahce would be the club’s eighth team in Răzvan Lucescu’s career, after Rapid, FC Brașov, El-Jaish, Petrolul, Xanthi, PAOK and Al-Hilal. He was also coach of Romania between 2009 and 2011, during which time he accumulated 21 matches.
