In the last 24 hours, 3,761 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, out of 35,876 tests carried out, PCR and rapid tests. Another 66 Romanians died after being infected with coronavirus. 968 patients are hospitalized in ATI. Since Friday, the calculation of the infection rate has changed, so outbreaks are included. According to the data transmitted by the authorities, the difference with yesterday’s bulletin is not very great. The two counties, Timiș and Maramureș, remain on the red stage. Only one county went from the green stage to the yellow stage, it is Arad County.
To date, on February 26, in Romania, 795,732 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.
736,020 patients were declared cured.
After tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 3,761 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. To date, 20,233 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
Between 25.02.2021 (10:00) – 26.02.2021 (10:00) 66 deaths (40 men and 26 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Arad, Bihor, Bistrita -Năsăud, Brăila, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Galați, Gorj, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 2 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 4 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 16 deaths in the age category of age 60 to 69 years, 24 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 19 deaths in the category of over 80 years.
62 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and of 3 deceased patients, so far no comorbidities have been reported.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,847. Of these, 968 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 5,986,365 RT-PCR tests and 288,306 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 27,016 RT-PCR tests were performed (15,794 based on case definition and medical protocol and 11,222 on request) and 8,860 rapid antigen tests.
In Romania, 39,472 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are isolated in their homes and 11,232 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 50,767 people are in home quarantine and 133 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 3,120 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 591 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on February 25, 5,100 penalties for minor offenses, worth 946,800 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 6 criminal cases were processed to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.
The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 23,469 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,539 in Italy, 16,772 (**) in Spain, 195 in the United Kingdom, 125 in France 3,116 in Germany, 93 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 7 in Sweden, 137 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 43 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 7 in Bulgaria, 12 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 13 in Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland, 2 in Singapore, 3 in Tunisia and one in Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Slovenia, Russian Federation and Croatia.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 186 Romanian citizens abroad, 34 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 60 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 4 have died in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, 1 in the United States, 1 in Brazil, 1 in the Republic of the Congo, 1 in Greece and 1 in Iran.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.
