According to the Social Democratic deputy, control of the pandemic is a priority for all countries in the European Region of the World Health Organization, but for now, only EU member states have access to vaccines.
“I consider that it would be a sign of solidarity on the part of Romania to donate a quantity of vaccine to our brothers in the Republic of Moldova, in order to guarantee the protection of the medical personnel involved in patient care.
Just as the virus knows no borders, the fight with it must be in the same register, so that we can all return to a normal life as soon as possible ”, said Alexandru Rafila.
The vaccination campaign in Romania started on Sunday at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases „Prof. Dr. Matei Balş from the Capital, after Romania was assigned 10,000 doses in the “symbol” leg, which arrived in the country on Friday, Christmas Day.
In the coming days, another 144,000 doses of vaccine are planned for more than 370 regional vaccination centers in the country.
