“Let me explain to you how the mafia works on Christmas Eve. The sanitation operator has started to blackmail again and last night he did not pick up the uncontrolled garbage from the street. He saw that they did not go with illegal bills handed over for payment to the mayor’s office and decided to leave the garbage in the street, ”Clotilde Armand wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

He added that he has started the garbage collection action in the street with another sanitation company and that he no longer asks Romprest to respect his contract.

“I did not stop begging this operator to respect his contract and started an action to collect garbage on the street with another sanitation company. And what do you think? The respective company collects the garbage and the operator of the sanitation service that does not respect its contract throws other garbage behind them. In other words: where we meet, others come and dump the garbage behind us. The workers also began to threaten. I am not at all impressed by these practices and will file criminal complaints with the prosecution of the sanitation service provider, “added Armand.

The mayor of Sector 1 also said that he will file a complaint with the Ministry of the Environment for lifting Romprest’s license.

Then, I will present to the Ministry of the Environment a complaint about the lifting of the license for the blackmailing supplier. We also started the procedures to terminate the sanitation contract with him. If the garbage mafia chose to destroy us this Christmas, I tell you they chose very badly ”, concluded Clotilde Armand.

Also in December, the Sector 1 City Council specified that the collection of household waste from the population will continue to be free, as long as it is not illegally deposited in the public domain.

The sanitation company Romprest SA, which ensures cleanliness in Sector 1 of the Capital, announced, on November 27, the “temporary limitation of activities within the sanitation service”, invoking that, since July, the company ” fully finances ”sanitation services. for this sector and ended up incurring additional costs to further ensure cleanliness. The company stated that the waste collection activity of the population and companies will not be affected.
