Vasile Lavric, the 62-year-old man from Rădăuţi also nicknamed the “women’s eater”, is now under investigation in the case of the disappearance of his fourth wife.
The suspect did not use handcuffs, as required by procedure. The police have opened an investigation.
Vasile Lavric: “I lost 14 kilograms in 18 days, I am innocent.”
Vasile Lavric was brought to the hearings, shortly after 1 pm, directly from custody. But first he visited the Ministry of the Environment without permission.
The 62-year-old man is now under investigation for the disappearance of his ex-wife, Aurica Lavric. She claims that she went to work abroad and should return. Several witness statements, but also evidence – indirect, which is true – would show that he is lying, say sources in the investigation. The investigations are led by the prosecutor who handled the case of Elodia Ghinescu.
In 2014, Vasile Lavric was investigated for the disappearance of three sisters from Rădăuţi. The man allegedly fell in love with all three, with two he also had children, but married only one. Investigators later discovered that he was beating her and detained him for attempted murder after finding human bone fragments in her garden.
Geanina Cojocaru, attorney for the defendant: “I was his lawyer in 2014 when there was no evidence either, so I managed to free him. A case of attempted murder was subsequently fabricated, although the forensic certificate at the time said it did not endanger him. the life of the victim, I know absolutely nothing about this new case ”.
In addition to the attempted murder, prosecutors are also investigating Vasile Lavric for domestic violence, a crime that will weigh even more when the final punishment is decided. It is also taken into account that the accused was investigated again for the same crime in the case of the three disappeared sisters.
And because the body of the fourth wife has yet to be found, law enforcement officials are also investigating him for desecrating bodies. Taken together, these crimes could lead to life in prison.
