Child allowances will increase by 20% at the beginning of next year and by another 20% in the middle of the year, Labor Minister Violeta Alexandru told RFI, quoted by Mediafax. As for pensions, they will also increase, but not by 40%, he suggests, without giving a clear percentage.

The Labor Minister explained in an interview what will happen to the children’s pensions and allowances from next year.

“They will grow. From the point of view of the liberals, things are very clear. First, in our government program, for the increase in pensions, we said very clearly that we are considering an increase that would cover 100% of the inflation rate and 50% of average gross income per economy. This is the starting point for discussions with other partners, because at this moment we are in a coalition and we make decisions together, “said the Minister of Labor.

Likewise, regarding diets, Violeta Alexandru recalled their staggered increase, at the beginning of 2021 and mid-year, “to be able to face the budget of this request for duplication of diets.”

“It will be an increase early next year, the second increase, in fact, after this year. The third will be in the middle of next year and the last two, in two years.

Therefore, PNL’s position is very clear, increasing both pensions and bonuses, with a balanced approach and based on the existing economic situation, in the sense of increasing the number of employees, for their work and contributions. that these workers pay, we can cover all these obligations, which we look at with all responsibility. We are in a coalition government, these decisions will be taken together with the other partners ”, added Violeta Alexandru.
