Representatives of the Romanian Embassy in Vienna have approached the Austrian Border Police to obtain additional information on this situation, and the MFA assures that it is closely monitoring the situation generated by the increase in waiting times at border crossings. between the Republic of Austria and Hungary.

According to a press release issued on Saturday, the Romanian embassies in Vienna and Budapest are ready to provide consular assistance to Romanian citizens requesting support, including providing information on the situation at the border crossings between the two states.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalls that affected Romanian citizens can request consular assistance at the telephone numbers of the Romanian Embassy in Vienna: 0043-1-503.24.65, 0043-1-505.23.81, 0043-1-230.95.10 and 0043-1- 505.16.27 (Austrian local rate) or on the phone numbers of the Romanian Embassy in Budapest: 0036-1-384 76 89, calls are redirected to the Romanian Citizens Contact and Support Center at the foreigner (CCSCRS) and take over the Call Center operators, permanently.
