Paul of Romania, nephew of King Carol II, has been wanted for almost two days. He was persecuted internationally after the police failed to find him at his home to take him behind bars.
He received 3 years and 4 months in prison with execution in the case of illegal restitution of the royal farm Băneasa and a part of the Snagov forest.
Instead, Remus Truică, a Romanian millionaire and Adrian Năstase’s former chief of staff, has already been in prison for two nights. There he will remain 7 years, in the same criminal case.
If it weren’t for a damage of 145 million euros, the two could seem the protagonists of a romantic story with a regal flavor and striking love.
The famous singer Patricia Kaas has written many times about Remus Truica.
The irony of fate is that their love also began on Snagov, at a private party hosted by Remus Truica, who was to be sentenced, along with Paul from Romania and two Israeli businessmen, who offered advice to Romanian politicians.
Paul’s residence in Romania
“Reporter – Where is your husband?
Princess lia – After later. Thank you!
Reporter – Will he teach himself? He ran away?”.
Police searched the villa in Bucharest looking for Paul-Philippe from Romania to take him to prison. But only Lia, the wife of King Charles II’s nephew, was at home.
Pablo from Romania allegedly fled to Portugal
Dressed in animal print furs and accessories and impeccably made up, Lia from Romania reportedly told the police that Paul would be in Portugal.
The policemen entered the house of Prince Paul of Romania and, from what was seen from the outside, turned on the lights on each floor of the house and searched each room. After a few minutes, the police realized that the prince was not at home.
Instead, the police found Remus Truica, Prince Paul’s accomplice, in his impressive field at Snagov.
Compared to the 7 years in prison that the millionaire Truică, former chief of staff of Prime Minister Adrian Năstase received, the 3 years and 4 months in prison that Paul of Romania received seems a trifle.
The police removed businessman Remus Truică from his home and took him to Rahova Penitentiary to serve his sentence.
Remus Truică also has the highest punishment in the case of illegal restitution of the Royal Farm Băneasa and the Snagov Forest.
Israeli accomplices Benjamin Steinmetz and Tal Silberstein, who were to seize and resell the land, were sentenced by the Supreme Court to five years in prison. However, it is missing.
Romania has a long history with people convicted here who left for Israel before the final sentence.
Because the Jewish state does not extradite its citizens, Sorin Beraru or Ioana Maria Vlas were untouchable while on Israeli territory.
FNI’s mother served her sentence only because she decided to return to Romania.
Since 2006, Paul from Romania has been claiming real estate, land, farms, vineyards, forests and lakes, just because he is a nephew of King Charles II.
Although he was never recognized as a member by the Royal House of Romania, Paul Philippe found someone to sell what he was not entitled to receive, but what he wanted to receive. Among them, Remus Truica. Paul has always claimed to be innocent.
Paul of Romania, December 10, 2015: “It was a bit shocking but I hope the princess explained it to her, I was surrounded by a lot of people trying to rob us and put us in a state of nervousness, I never stole, why should I steal my property“.
Lia from Romania, December 10, 2015: “It was a robbery and a fraud and a great pressure on us“.
Patricia Kaas: “My lover told me that I only want to sing for him”
“Reporter, December 18, 2015: How do you see this story? There are things that can change your life.
Remus truica: If they have not changed me already“.
How is it possible that a fortune of 145 million euros does not change your life? The former royal farm of Băneasa covers 28 hectares. Or ten thousand square meters or 150 euros. You get dizzy only when you count.
Likewise, the Fundu Sacului forest in Snagov and the other lands there, coveted by many, cover an area of 47 hectares. Or ten thousand square meters or 100 euros, the square meter.
Also in Snagov, at a private party held in his sumptuous estate, Truica invited her and his wife to sing to one of the great international stars in 2010: the French Patricia Kaas, nicknamed “Mademoiselle chante le blues”.
“Reporter, August 17, 2011: Have you been in contact with Patricia before?
Remus truica: Yeah we talked after that party“.
The singer speaks in her autobiography, published a year later in Paris, about the story she lived with Remus Truica, who was married at the time. Romania, Paris, French Riviera. A love that Patricia Kaas describes as “adolescent”.
Patricia Kaas, in the book “L’Ombre de ma voix”, Editorial Flammarion 2011: “It was summer, the season of love. He returned for a short time to his country, where he had a job, but that did not satisfy our desire, I was his body and soul. Or almost, because sometimes he still had to play a private party. My lover told me that he wanted me to sing just for him. I remained a mask. I thought you were joking. Yes where from! I didn’t want other men to see me, I didn’t want anyone else. If any of them fell on my trunk? !!“.
Now, the curtain has fallen on these people, some with royal pretensions, others with famous girlfriends and many millions of euros in accounts, but all connected with each other, characters from a play with a criminal flavor, performed not on stage, but before the Romanian Supreme Court, which sentenced him to prison.
