Acting Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă appointed representatives of civil society within the Economic and Social Council (CES), through a decision published on Friday in the Official Gazette, reports Agerpres.
Thus, the following were appointed members of the CES Plenary: Ştefan Teişanu (FAPTE Association), Cristian Hordilă (Transylvanian Film Festival Association), Martin Balogh (Civitas Foundation for Cluj Civil Society), Sevastiţa Grigorescu (National Union of Artisan Cooperation – UCECOM), Diana Chiriacescu (Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations of Social Services – FONSS), Daniela Tontsch (National Council of Disability of Romania).
In addition, other appointed members are Daniela-Doina Bololoi (Association for Autism Aid), Horia-Şerban Oniţa (National Alliance of Romanian Student Organizations – ANOSR), Mihai Dragos (Federation of Romanian Youth Council), Madalina Sava (Association of Psychologists Romanians)), Corina Murata (Ashoka Foundation), Horia Nicoleşu Mihai (ASI Association), Bogdan Simion (Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations for Children – FONPC), Andrei-Robert Botez (Association of Frends for Development), Gelu Duminică ( Foundation of the Community Development Agency Juntos “).
The Economic and Social Council is an advisory body to the Romanian Parliament and Government. The ETUC is mandatorily consulted on the draft normative acts initiated by the Government or on the legislative proposals of the deputies or senators. The result of this consultation is materialized in opinions to the drafts of normative acts. It also prepares, at the request of the Government, Parliament or on its own initiative, analyzes and studies on economic and social realities and indicates to the Government or Parliament the appearance of some economic and social phenomena that require the development of new regulatory acts.
