President Klaus Iohannis made several clarifications about the vaccination campaign on Friday and assured that all the types of vaccines that are coming are authorized, safe and effective.
He stressed that, although it is not mandatory, vaccination is the solution to end the pandemic in summer.
“Things will turn out well and immediately after Christmas we will go directly into the vaccination campaign.
Vaccine doses are not received all at once, but in installments. For the first time, there is a smaller symbolic stretch of 10,000 doses, to be administered immediately this year. And from January, more doses will arrive.
We believe that at least 100,000 doses per week, or more, since more vaccines can be vaccinated. In the first stage, all medical personnel will be vaccinated. In the second stage, the essential personnel will be vaccinated and we believe that in March, April, there is still the phase in which the general population will be vaccinated.
Important to know – vaccination is voluntary, nobody is obliged, but we recommend everyone to get vaccinated, because this vaccine is the only one – I repeat – the only way to get rid of pandemicsme.
We will have different types of vaccines.
They are all very good, they are all licensed to the highest European standards. All are effective, that is, they work. They are all safe.
And, in this way, we will be able, if we mobilize and go to vaccination, until the summer, probably, to get rid of this pandemic, ”said Klaus Iohannis.
