At the same time, by another decision of the interim prime minister, Dan-Cătălin Vatamanu was removed from office as president, with the rank of secretary of state, of the Environmental Fund Administration.
Also by decision of the interim prime minister, Vetuţa Stănescu was relieved, upon request, from the position of secretary of state in the Ministry of Public Works, Development and Administration.

Ciuca’s decision comes after the Minister of the Environment, Water and Forests, Mircea Fechet, sent him, this Tuesday, the proposal to dismiss the president of the Environmental Fund Administration (AFM), Dan – Cătălin Vatamanu, given the recent AFM announcement. This program, designed on such a large scale and with funding for at least 100,000 Romanians, cannot be hampered by those who have taken over an electronic voucher issuance system that is now dysfunctional. AFM said Tuesday that it was postponing the start of the “Scrap for Home Appliances” program to a later date, due to issues related to the application’s cybersecurity.

“Due to the general context of cybersecurity instability, suspicions about the computer security of the application and previous attempts to defraud the registration process, by cloning specific information from the Scrap for Home Appliances program, the Environmental Fund Administration announces the postponement of the registration session of persons in order to implement additional security measures for the National Program for the replacement of electrical and electronic equipment used by other more energy efficient ones, until a date to be communicated later. We apologize for the breakdowns and we assure that AFM will carry out the necessary steps for the development of the program in good conditions ”, is shown in the AFM press release.

This year’s edition of the “Scrap Metal for Household Appliances” program for individuals should have started on Tuesday at 12:00, and Romanians could have registered for this session via the computer application available on the AFM website. at the addresses www.afm.ro and in the section https://electrocasnice.afm.ro/.
According to the program regulation, people benefit from vouchers for the purchase of household electrical and electronic equipment, energy efficiency class A ++ and A +++, as follows: 300 lei for energy efficient washing machines of at least A ++; 400 lei for dishwashers with energy efficiency of at least A ++; 400 lei for air conditioners, including portable air conditioners, with cooling energy efficiency of at least A ++; 400 lei for the category refrigerators / refrigerators / cold boxes / freezers with energy efficiency of at least A ++; 400 lei for TVs with energy efficiency of at least A; 400 lei for clothes dryers with energy efficiency at least A ++; 200 lei for vacuum cleaners with energy consumption less than 43 kWh / year.

In addition, vouchers worth 500 lei for laptops and 300 lei for tablets are awarded.
After the publication, in a maximum of 15 days, on the AFM website, of the list of approved people, the applicants will present themselves at one of the validated merchants, from where they will buy the desired equipment, it is mentioned in the statement of the Ministry of Environment.

In 2019, the “Scrap metal for household appliances” program benefited from an allocation of 40 million lei, and was awarded vouchers in value, based on which Romanians had the opportunity to buy a new product, from the washing machine or washing machine . from dishwashers to air conditioners or refrigerators / freezers / coolers / freezers and televisions.
Official data from this program shows that a total of 49,118 applications for 89,193 vouchers were approved last year and more than 60,000 computers were withdrawn from service.
