The leaders of PNL, USR-PLUS and UDMR resumed negotiations for the formation of the new Government. In a joint statement, they said that all solutions are on the table and that each side has expressed flexibility.
Ludovic Orban: “We have decided to resume the talks to form a majority. What we have established is to resume the talks and we will communicate together the outcome and the evolution of the discussions as agreements are reached on various issues. All options are on the table.”
Dan Barna: “In today’s meeting, each party expressed some flexibility. We are willing to find a solution that leads to a stable solution. Today at 5:00 p.m. the colleagues begin to work on the government program. Tomorrow we continue the discussion on the political side. Each party has expressed its mandate, we are in the negotiation phase ”.
Kelemen Hunor: “The only good solution for Romania is this majority. All solutions remain on the table from a political point of view. We will find a balance until the end of the negotiations at all levels.
I am convinced that by the end of the year we will have a functioning government because our intention is to have a responsible government, an efficient, correct government and that good will prevails. Everything else can be discussed and an agreement reached. “
It is the first round of talks after the NLP leadership decided to support two variants of prime minister: Ludovic Orban and Florin Cîțu.
