USR PLUS co-chair Dan Barna announced on Tuesday a proposal for PNL President Ludovic Orban and UDMR President Kelemen Hunor to unblock negotiations. Barna asks the three to be part of the Government, as deputy prime ministers, and for the leadership of the Chamber of Deputies, USR PLUS proposes Cătălin Drulă.
“A government in which the prime minister will have the three leaders of the Coalition parties as deputy prime ministers, will be credible and will not need other committees and we will be able to make a solid and stable coalition,” said Dan Barna.
Barna also made another proposal for the head of the Chamber of Deputies.
“We are testing a new solution and we are proposing another candidacy for the presidency of the Chamber of Deputies. We believe that there must be a balance. I will propose Cătălin Drulă, a colleague with significant experience,” he said.
The USR PLUS co-chair says this will unlock negotiations and the three parties will be able to discuss government programs.
On Tuesday, Dan Barna and Ludovic Orban would have a new discussion, after the president of the NLP spoke with Klaus Iohannis this morning.
Earlier, the weekend’s negotiations stalled after both Dan Barna and Ludovic Orban claimed the leadership of the Chamber of Deputies.
