Former PSD leader Liviu Dragnea was confirmed with the new coronavirus, being transferred to the Jilava Penitentiary Hospital. Dragnea has no specific symptoms for COVID-19, says News.ro.
“Two people guarded by the Rahova-Bucharest Penitentiary were confirmed positively in the tests carried out for SARS-CoV-2. They were transferred to the Bucharest-Jilava Penitentiary Hospital, in order to apply the optimal therapeutic condition. No specific symptoms”, specified the National Penitentiary Administration (ANP), for News.ro.
Dragnea’s lawyer, Flavia Teodosiu, confirmed that the former PSD leader is infected with the new coronavirus and explained that, for the moment, his condition is good, reports Agerpres.
Dragnea was transferred from the Rahova Prison to the Jilava Prison Hospital, where detainees infected with SARS-CoV-2 are treated.
Liviu Dragnea turned 58 on October 28.
The former PSD leader was definitively sentenced on May 27, 2019, by the HCCJ magistrates, to three years and six months in prison with execution in the case of fictitious DGASPC Teleorman jobs.
