He specified that the UDMR wants a coalition with PNL and USR PLUS, in which the party that obtains the most votes proposes the prime minister, and the other two parties to receive the leadership of the two houses of Parliament. “We have no preference,” Kelemen said.
“I will tell the president what I told him in Cotroceni. We were present in the first round of consultations and we said that according to the official result there are several formulas to ensure stability, but from our point of view we want a coalition PNL-USR PLUS and UDMR That would mean a solid majority. With the support of the group of national minorities, we would have a stable majority, if we can increase the level of trust among the coalition partners and build a common governance program, “said the president of the UDMR.
Kelemen Hunor said the talks over the weekend were “extremely helpful”, but that there must be “trust between partners.” The UDMR leader supports the division of the three functions in the state between the three parties that could form a government coalition, adding that if there is no agreement for the next round of consultations, the Union will have its own prime minister proposal.
We believe that whoever has won the most seats should have a prime minister. That is why it would be desirable to reach an agreement as soon as possible. The three functions must be divided into each of the three games. We have no preference. Now there are two proposals from the prime minister, PNL has a proposal, USR PLUS a proposal, it was natural that we also had a proposal.
