YouTube and other related Google services, including Gmail, fell on Monday. Users have received messages that the networks are no longer working. The problems seem to affect many Google services. Among those that have been confirmed as affected are Gmail, Google Drive and YouTube.
Gmail users receive the error “Sorry, your account is temporarily unavailable.” Youtube also announces that “Something went wrong”.
However, the Google search engine still works normally.
According to DownDetector.com, the problems started around 12:00 GMT and affect users around the world. Of those who report having problems, 54% say they can’t access YouTube, 42% say they can’t watch videos, and 3% say they can’t log in.
In Gmail, 75% cannot log in, 15% say they cannot access the site, and 8% do not receive messages. At 1:54 PM, DownDetector reported 5,760 users in Romania having problems with YouTube and 748 reports for Gmail. 2,270 reports even searched Google.com.
