Adrian Năstase does not forget even after 16 years: PMP, taken out of the parliamentary game, with the ‘weapon’ that made Băsescu president in 2004 – News from sources

Adrian Năstase, former president of the PSD, claims that the Popular Movement Party failed to reach the electoral threshold in the parliamentary elections due to the additional lists, just as Traian Băsescu won the presidency in 2004.

“In 2004, in the presidential elections, in the first electoral round, the additional lists were not accepted. Under pressure from some NGOs and with the naivety (probably) of some PSD comrades, for the second round, these lists were accepted (although that means changing the rules during the game).

Even so, I won in all constituencies except Bucharest, where Basescu “won”, by a wide margin. The explanation, you probably remember, the additional lists and the huge queues for these lists at the North Station and at Otopeni Airport. So, Basescu “won” the elections.

Here that now, after 16 years, the additional lists have not played in favor of Băsescu. The ICCJ rejected the PMP’s appeals to examine the additional lists in Bucharest. So Băsescu’s party -PMP-, which won 4.86% and 4.93%, respectively, in these elections, will not enter parliament.

The conclusion: Băsescu failed to fool the Romans once again. Perhaps it is also about immanent justice … “, writes Adrian Năstase on the blog.
