In the political negotiations, each party presented its point of view on the organization and functioning of the coalition, as shown in a joint statement signed by Ludovic Orban, Dan Barna, Dacian Cioloș and Kelemen Hunor, after the first round of negotiations for the formation of the government. The leaders of PNL, USR-PLUS and UDMR do not mention a word about the blockade intervened in the negotiations for the positions of prime minister and heads of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate and announce that the talks will resume on Sunday.

- The negotiating teams of PNL, USR-PLUS and UDMR had the first round of discussions today for the constitution of the new parliamentary majority. It was agreed to structure the negotiation at three levels, the political one, the one related to the government program and the one related to the functioning of the parliamentary majority. In political negotiations, each party expressed its point of view on the organization and operation of the coalition.
- Regarding the governance program, its structure and the way in which the programs of the three political parties are harmonized have been established and progress has been made in several chapters. At the same time, the coordinates of joint activity at the parliamentary level that support the functioning of the majority were agreed.
- The leaders of the three parties affirmed their willingness to offer together a stable governance formula for Romania, which would ensure the best solutions to overcome the crisis and achieve the reforms that Romania needs. The political parties will resume the dialogue tomorrow and information on their conduct will be transmitted in the coming days through official and joint communiqués.
There are three negotiating teams that will discuss three topics: the formation of the government, the drafting of the government program and the division of functions in Parliament.
