Timisoara will likely remain without hot water and heat on Tuesday. This is because the local district heating company has historical debts to suppliers that only deliver raw materials with prepayment. The mayor of Timisoara did not mention a word about it in his Facebook messages, informing the population only that he is participating in the negotiations for the government. Colterm, the local district heating company, has six directors who recently purchased new service vehicles.
“As for the municipality of Timisoara, according to data from Colterm, there are coal and gas stocks only until Monday, and the suppliers only want to deliver in advance, due to the company’s debts.

The Deputy Mayor of Timișoara, Mr. Ruben Lațcău, stated that part of the debts were paid to the Oltenia Power Complex to continue with the supply of coal, with two more suppliers under contract to supply Colterm with coal.
At the same time, the prefect Liliana Oneț announced that this morning she had a discussion with Mr. Virgil Popescu, Minister of the Economy, to find a solution to support Colterm. The Minister of Economy held a dialogue with the representatives of the Oltenia Energy Complex who agreed to continue supporting Colterm, but with the condition of paying the staggered amounts even more.
The biggest problem is the gas supply, as the supplier only accepts prepaid delivery.
