Corina and Valentin Nemeș returned to the country after eight months. The two Romanians left for the Caribbean in February, but soon the airports closed and they were stranded on the island of Guadeloupe.

Corina and Valentin Nemeș, geographers by profession, left for the Caribbean at the end of February. Airports soon closed and they were stranded on the island of Guadeloupe.

“The information was as it was, you did not know how things would turn out. And then we made that decision, let’s stay,” says Valentin Nemeș, according to Mediafax.

From the Caribbean they reached the United States, where they crossed each state.

“I stayed in hotels, motels, in tents. Because we chose to travel to the national parks of the United States,” adds Valentin Nemeș.

Corina and Valentin traveled tens of thousands of kilometers.

Meanwhile, the flights resumed, but continued for eight months.

“I liked Yellowstone more. It was something … my goosebumps are already getting, just when I think about it again. I liked it and Alaska was like that, something we wanted for a long time,” says Corina Nemeș.
