ANM: Yellow Code for Rain and Snow in Ten Counties, Starting Saturday Morning

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued a yellow code warning of significant quantitative rainfall and heavy snowfall on Friday, valid on Saturday morning in ten counties.

According to meteorologists, between December 12, 8:00 a.m. These will generally be quantitatively important and will accumulate more than 20-30 l / m2 and, in isolation, 40 l / m2.

Furthermore, in the area of ​​the South Carpathians and Curvatura, generally at altitudes above 1,700 meters, it will snow and deposit a locally consistent layer of snow. Temporarily, in the high mountain area, the wind will intensify, with gust speeds higher than 70-80 km / h, snow blizzard and visibility will be low.

The counties targeted by the new warning are: Argeş, Braşov, Buzău, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Gorj, Prahova, Sibiu, Vâlcea and Vrancea.

The NMA indicates that, temporarily, it will rain in most regions, and in the south and east, amounts of water will accumulate that will exceed 15-20 l / m2 in some places.
