In the midst of the dispute over the idea that the Ministry of Education could reach the UDMR, deputy Odon told Diana Sosoaca at one point that she was seen in the company of a “convicted criminal.”
He later detailed that he was referring to Mihai Lasca, Bihor’s elected deputy on the GOLD lists. Lasca was convicted in two cases: in one, for hitting and in the other, older, for forming a criminal group that broke ATMs. Both cases are in the process of hearing the appeal. In the sentence handed down in the latter case, the judges mentioned that Lasca is a repeat offender, says the website Antena3.ro.
Diana Sosoaca was upset by the evocation of the name of the future deputy Lasca. He insisted that the latter is not definitively condemned and, in turn, accused the UDMR deputy of not recognizing Romania’s National Day.
UDMR-AUR political dispute: “father of the market” and “parallel state”
D. Sosoaca: Where have you been since December 1? Why don’t you celebrate Romania’s National Day? No, I do not allow you to speak, as you are destroying Romania’s National Day.
S. Odon: Madam lawyer, be calm. You were with a criminal at the Oradea train station, I have a photo.
D. Sosoaca: Where were you on December 1? We are on time!
S. Odon: Madam lawyer, you are with a criminal in the image and in Parliament!
D. Sosoaca: You cannot say that he is a criminal until he has a firm conviction. If you don’t know the legal terms, come to me and I will give you a free consultation.
(…)
D. Sosoaca: You don’t celebrate National Romanian Day and I wonder why. And then how can I wish you the post of Minister of Education, when you have 7 percent and we have 10 percent?
S. Odon: Madam lawyer, don’t be a father on television (…)
D. Sosoaca: You are a man who makes fun of Romanians and Romania (…) Measure your words, because you have only shown that you are in a parallel state to the Romanian state. Identify your ethics and affiliation. He is a Romanian citizen (…)
S. Odon: You have a little common sense …
D. Sosoaca: He has common sense with Romanian citizens. I did not say that December 1 is a day of national mourning.
S. Odon: Is this how you talk to your husband at home? (…)
D. Sosoaca: You have exceeded all the limits of common sense. I will not let you speak, because you have not proven that (Lasca) is definitely doomed.
S. Odon: You are a father in the market right now.
D. Sosoaca: Tate are the people of your party who militate against the Romanian people.
S. Odon: Close your eyes a little, get out of the movie …
D. Sosoaca: You are coming out of the parallel state …
