We do not form an alliance with PSD members of Chirica, nor with PSD PSD members

NLP Iaşi Mayor Mihai Chirica accuses USR-PLUS of betraying the right-wing electorate in Iaşi and allying with the PSD, after a USR councilor was elected to lead Local Council meetings in the coming three months.

In response, USR deputy Marius Bodea affirms that USR-PLUS will not form an alliance “neither with the members of the Chirica PSD nor with the members of the PSD PSD.”

It is worth mentioning that today’s joint USRPLUS – PSD vote was a conjuncture: PSD supported the taking of the presidency of the meeting, for the next three months, by Răzvan Timofciuc (USRPLUS). The NLP (Ciprian Bostan) proposal fell to a vote. All other draft decisions on the agenda were unanimously adopted by the directors of PNL, USRPLUS, PSD and PMP.

It should also be mentioned that after being expelled from the PSD, Mihai Chirica promised to remain a “social democrat”, although today he invoked the betrayal of “right-wing” ideals.

“After PSD member Mihai Chirica regrettably lost the parliamentary elections in Iași, with the same shameful score that PSD members left in PSD, he allows himself to rant against USR PLUS and accuse us of … PSD. A bit of shame It would not hurt the future former mayor of Iasi, an ins captured by the real estate mafia and adopted to the total detriment of PNL Iasi.

Today, in fact, we witnessed a fight between PSD members in the Iași City Hall. As with the old colleagues, they have payment policies and USR PLUS does not interfere with their clans. The fact that an elected USR PLUS official, Răzvan Timofciuc, leads the CL meetings for three months is a guarantee of the correctness of the works.

We made a few clear statements to the people of Iași and we will stick to these promises to the millimeter, for which, by the way, we received an overwhelming vote:

“We will not make any alliance with Mihai Chirica and the advisers controlled by him. Among the councilors of PNL Iași there are no less than 3 former members of PSD, former members of CL. In fact, they went from PSD to NLP in August 2020, at the express request of Chirica.

»We will never make an alliance with PSD Iași, because we have learned on our skin how tragic it is to have a city led by Chirica, the perfect exponent of everything we hate about PSD members: amorality, pride, corruption, lies and imposture”! , is shown in a press release sent by Marius Bodea.

TO UPDATE: PSD reaction, after today’s vote in CL:

“Political opponents use today’s vote on the election of the local council president to make a DEMAGOGICAL political game.

Mr. CHIRICA, you know very well that the group leaders agreed that this function should return, by rotation, to each party present in the local council. Probably the reason behind this political game you play is that, at the national level, PNL and USR are negotiating their ministries and you hope to tip the balance.

Iasi needs a balanced approach, the maturity of the representatives he has chosen, but he especially needs them to work together for the people of Iasi. There is no room for political disputes to flourish in the negotiations in Bucharest, Mr. Chirica, yet there is room for action and hard facts for the people of Iași.

The evolution of Iași is in our responsibility, and such discussions do not bring any growth to our city. The people of Iași have other expectations of those on whom they put their hopes.

The councilors group #PSD has already started working on the town hall!
We ask both #PNL, led by Mayor Mihai Chirica, and #USR, to let go of the struggle and political pride and join us with concrete and constructive actions for the forum and for the people of Iași. Assume local government with responsibility and dignity! ”Bogdan Balaniscu, the leader of the PSD councilor’s group, wrote on Facebook.
